Every child deserves someone in their corner

CAJA of Madison County trains volunteer advocates to speak up for abused and neglected children in the court system — so no child navigates it alone.

What We Do

One steady advocate, until a child has a safe, permanent home.

01

Advocate

We speak up in court for each child’s best interests, making sure their voice is heard in every hearing.

02

Investigate

Volunteers review case records and talk with everyone involved — parents, teachers, doctors, caseworkers — to understand the full picture.

03

Report

We give judges clear, fact-based recommendations to help guide decisions about a child’s safety and future.

04

Support

Every child gets one steady, caring adult who stays with their case from start to a safe, permanent home.

Our Mission

To support and promote court-appointed volunteer advocacy so every child who has experienced abuse or neglect can have a safe, permanent home.

Children with a CAJA volunteer spend 8 months less in foster care, on average, than those without one.
